All County meeting halls and auditoriums are now open to the public again, so all our monthly Club meetings will be held at Paki Hale as before. Steerage Meetings will be held in the same hale, on the second Tuesday of every second month.

Unless stated otherwise, all groups should be assembled at the start point by 0900, and launched by 0915 at the latest.
The Trip Leader has final say as to whether any individual paddler may join the group, based on the Leader's assessment of that individual's skill, equipment and/or preparation, in light of the ocean conditions of the day.

Mothers' Day Kualoa Campground is on a Roll- Meet at Kualoa Regional Park at 10:00am (high tide 10:05) for an introduction to the Esquimau Roll, hosted by Stan (High Roller) Dalbec. Intended as a primer and practice for the upcoming Club trip to Puget Sound, it is open to any member who wants to gain a knowledge. Stan wll provide a sit-inside for the lessons, if you have one yourself, or a SOT with rollover knee straps, feel free to bring it. Bring beverages, sunscreen, reef shoes, and a snack for chillin'. Leis and Lanterns - A farewell to Cynthia Rajani, a friend and intrepid kayaker who recently passed away. Meet at the Kailua Boat Ramp at 5:00 pm for an after-dark event. Lanterns will be provided by Cynthia's family, bring your own leis (sans strings, of course, and we'll figure out how far out we go, depending on the weather. Bring a flashlight, plus any comestibles and/or libations you'd like. PLUS a special treat: there is a partial lunar eclipse happening, should result in a red moonrise! |

Mangrove Mosey - Leisurely (wind permitting) paddle around East Kaneohe Bay, eventually ending up at KMCBH marina boat shed for snacks, then heading out to the flotilla anchored off Coconut Island, from whence to witness the return of the Blue Angels Airshow to Kaneohe Bay. Meet at Kaneohe Beach Park (end of Waikalua Rd) at 9:00 AM - 5 Mi. No carpool. Bring an anchor, if you have one. Some people have showed an interest in watching the show from "Coral Island" on the west side of Coconut. The rest will find a spot to raft up on the east side, where most of the sailboats will be. |

Join The Friends of Haiku Stairs for an informative evening about this historic “trail” and the efforts they are making to try to preserve it. They will discuss the controversy surrounding this hike along with what led to the current situation. Ewa Beach to 'Tracks' (Kahe) around Barbers' Point - A beautiful paddle along a seldom-seen stretch of coastline. There is a possibility the paddle will be shortened if the wind does not cooperate. Because the carpool is critical and the weather may be cause for some course modification, Steve asks that you call or email him before noon on Saturday if you are planning to join him. If no one confirms by then, the paddle will be cancelled. - 13 mi. |

Paddle ratings are for average weather and ocean conditions, and are unscientifically assigned and often arbitrary. It is up to each individual to assess the conditions prior to the time of launch in the light of their own experience and ability, and decide whether to go or not. If you decide to go, you must sign the trip roster and read the waiver. No signee, no kayakee. In the event of a Small Craft Advisory (SCA) or higher wind warning*, the Club-sponsored paddle is officially cancelled. *As broadcast by Radio WBA on UHF weather channels 1 or 2, or announced the night before on commercial television.
"Steerage Board" meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every second month, except where otherwise noted, at the location given in the schedule. These meetings are for the Officers and Advisory Board members to discuss business and decide future activities has a Club-related issue to be dealt with outside the forum of the General Meetings. Talk to any Club Officer for details, an agenda, or location directions.
